Yesterday evening the 34th edition of the Brit Awards took place at the O2 Arena in (where else?) London. The Arctic Monkeys were the great winners with a trophy for British Group and British Album of the Year. Alex Turner gave an entertaining speech with a touch of rock 'n' roll self-confidence, see for yourself: [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDpiBCdAZr0?rel=0&w=560&h=315]
David Bowie won in the catagory British Male but he couldn't be there, so he let Kate Moss (in his Stardust outfit) give his speech. Other winners were Lorde (International Female Solo Artist), Ellie Goulding (British Female Solo Artist), One Direction (Best Video), Bastille (British Breakthrough Act), Daft Punk (International Group), etc.
To make this a totally fabulous evening there were a few awesome performances from Beyoncé, Lorde/Aluna George/Disclosure (see below), Arctic Monkeys (see below), Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams and Ellie Goulding.
